Lorelai was actually looking very happy as she waited for her guests to arrive. This very likely had to do with the giant mug of coffee sitting on the table next to her. Early in the afternoon, Rory led her friends into the house on the mainland and up to where she knew her mother and brother would be.

"Okay, so he's really, really tiny. I don't want anyone to be shocked," she said as they made their way into the room.

"He's going to be the smartest baby ever, too," Rory decided, rocking him a little. "Can you say 'hi,' Bucky? Come on, show everyone what a perfect prodigy you are!"

Bucky gurgled happily in his sister's arms.

"He could probably beat me if he took the SATs," Angela said. "If he could hold the pencil, and everything."

She smiled a little more at Bucky. "When Danielle was born? I was four and a half. I was so jealous, because I guess I really liked the only child thing? But after a while I got over it and she was fun to play with." She snorted. "You probably won't want to dress him in Cabbage Patch Kid clothes, though, which I did to her."

Lorelai came back in with a bottle in time to overhear Angela's last comment.

"Rory never played with dolls. She started reading the classics at the age of two," she teased. "The books sometimes weighed more than she did, but she didn't let that stop her."

She held out the bottle. "You all can fight over who gets to feed him."
