OH MY GOD! Holy shit, what an ending! Gilroy finally got threatening, only to be double crossed and save Michael from being blown up! Michael's gonna be in deep doo-doo to, what with blowing up that bridge and all. I don't think the authorities like that. Of course, if some giant psycho is hunting him down, the police might be the least of his worries. And next week - the return of Management! John Mahoney was so great last season finale and was only on the screen like a minute, so I'm hoping for similar great things this time around.
So, Tony Almaeda was a good psycho. It was a tricky enough story that I did feel kind of bad for him. I don't know what I would do if something happened to Jack, so I can see wanting to kidnap and kill people to get revenge, but not really the best idea. I especially liked the scene with Fi and Tony under the bridge, with Sam and Michael watching, unable to help. I thought Gabrielle Anwar did a really nice job in that scene. So often we see angry Fi, homicidal Fi, cunning Fi, or horny Fi. I don't know that we've ever really seen vulnerable Fi, and it was a nice facet to add to the diamond that she is.
I love Sam mothering Michael and Fi and clucking about their not listening like the mother hen he is. Chuck Finley of the HOA was especially awesome, and had some excellent points about crabgrass. It really is a menace. *nods sagely*
Maddie downing shots was great too, as was her assist with the bugging of the lipstick. I love the contrast between the spy gear on Burn Notice vs. Marshall on Alias. What do you think?
