Funny because I've seen this happen before...but the operative verb is "help", which doesn't usually work out well when there's one unwiedly item like a large bag of dog food.

In addition to being a douche, the hunky manager was probably on auto-pilot.

Hmm... I bet the douche read one of those "Leadership for Leaders" books and read that "delegation is good" so he decided to delegate everything.
