I'm not to familiar with the cameras themselves, however, pop it in a memory card reader and navigate to the file you want to delete using windows explorer. Should allow you to delete it just fine...
I had an Olympus camera with a similar situation. It created a file a secondary "locked" file that I had to delete before I could delete the vids...
Not Internet Explorer, windows Explorer (just click the my computer icon and navigate to your memory card).
Now, if simply deleting won't work, right click, go to properties and make sure that "Read Only" is not checked... If it is, uncheck it. Then retry deletion.
Also, as an absolute last resort, copy everything to your desktop and simply reformat the mem card.

I've got a card reader on my computer, but I've tried deleting it straight from the SD card through that with no luck.

Now, if simply deleting won't work, right click, go to properties and make sure that "Read Only" is not checked... If it is, uncheck it. Then retry deletion.
