To set the scene... need a bit of back story to understand this one.

President Harding had been visiting Alaska to escape the pressures of his corrupt White House staff.
If you haven't read about them... the were a scandalous lot - including the President.

He started to feel ill so they (he and Mrs. Harding) stopped in San Francisco to rest and died

There's so many weird things about our country. We really are an odd bunch

I know. But I love to find things like this. Makes it interesting. But really, there should have been a better VP ready to step up. All the blame of the Great Depression unjustly fell upon Hoover. It started before he took office. He was just there when the wheels came off so to speak.

Well, we all see why nobody ever praises them >.<
I feel that way about the state of the country now. Unfortunately, it's all been put onto Obama. I guess history is repeating itself.
