Lana's apartment sparkled. There were food and nibbles and drinks of all kinds. Everything looked warm and inviting. She wanted people to be able to have a good time and enjoy everyone else's company and hoped her apartment was welcoming and cozy enough to achieve that ( Read more... )

Max poured herself a glass of red wine in the kitchen and picked up a vol au vent stuffed with chicken, lounging with her hip resting against the kitchen counter as she ate it...

Susan moves through to the kitchen to refill her glass of wine, and catches sight of the bartender she'd seen at Raul's the previous day.

"We seem to keep bumping into each other, but I don't believe we've been formally introduced. Susan Pevensie."

Michael and Ben grabbed a drink and settled in on the sofa, chatting with some other NPC guests.

Max emerged from the kitchen, a glass of red wine in hand, and approached Michael and his man, Ben - A professor, she recalled, a little grin playing over her features as she wondered if that made Michael 'Mary Anne'.

"Hey there, pretty neat party, huh?"

"Hi, Max." Michael smiled, glad there was at least one familiar face besides Lana. "Lana throws a good party. Which means that LexCorp grand opening thing should be really neat."

Max wandered out onto the balcony to take in the view of the city skyline illuminated by lights. Turning to her hostess she smiled, "Bet this view sealed the deal when you were apartment hunting, huh?"

Lana laughed. "Honestly? I rented this place sight unseen. I didn't even know there was a balcony till I got here. It was one of the first things that let me know I was in the right place, though."

She sighed happily and stared up at the stars. "It sure is beautiful, isn't it?"

"Really? Wow, you really lucked out then, girl. It's totally gorgeous.." She tipped her head back to join Lana in her appreciation of the heavens, seeing the stars as a scatter of diamonds against inky midnight velvet, and smiled, "So, what brought you to 'Tropolis?"
