Comment and I'll give you three of your icons and three of your interests to explain.

Here's what bethctg asked about.
Icons

single rose - Is there a story behind it?
I found this icon, made by x__conniieee, one day when I was wandering around LJ. I thought it was absolutely lovely and have kept it ever since. I use it for posts of a more personal nature.

john adams - I love 1776!
This icon, made by roadstergal, tickled my fancy as I, too, am a huge fan of 1776! I love William Daniels, who I first was introduced to with St. Elsewhere, and I thought he was a totally wonderful John Adams. I bought the DVD and watch it every few months. What fun music!

jeeves ties bertie's shoe - does this one make you as insanely happy as it makes me? ;D
Ohhhh, yesss! I made this icon, and every time I use it I think of the quote where one of them mentioned how odd it was to have Stephen waiting on Hugh like this; particularly things like taking off shoes, helping in the bath, etc. Also, I'm a sucker for any shot that shows one of them touching the other one. Hee!

Interests
Fanfic: What got you interested, and when?
I'm a newcomer to fanfic! I started watching House last summer and quickly became a H/W shipper! I got obsessed with Hugh Laurie from there, and I stumbled onto fanfic as I was doing Internet searches to learn more about him. Then I found LJ and saw that it was a good source for a wide variety of fanfic; from there I found J/W fic, and the rest is squee-ish history! :)

Hugh Laurie: What's the first role you noticed him in?
House! I've only been a card-carrying Hugh!girl for about 9 months, but I am rabid! :) It wasn't long before I found Stephen Fry (where have these two been all my life?), and the obsession just went crazier from there.

The Gimp: Tell me why you like it so much. :)
1. It's FREE! :)
2. It wasn't incredibly hard to learn, and there are a lot of good tutorials and information on LJ and the Internet to help you learn it.
3. It's fun to use; I've really been impressed at some of the graphics I've been able to create! I know it's not quite as fancy-schmancy as Photoshop and some other programs, but I like it! *huggles GIMP* (although a different name would have been more preferred!)
