We have a member of the Tory party, who might be an MSP or an MEP or a something who live on our street! But he can't see past the end of his own nose.

There's been about £4K worth of damage that we know of as a result of the accidents. £1K to cover the van and the lorry's damage (plus the implications on the insurance of the van driver) and £3K for the university to rebuild the two walls. Compared to, I dunno, a few pounds for the salt? Say a few hundred pounds to keep us gritted for a few weeks, compared to four grand's worth of damage in one day. Seems a bit dumb, doesn't it?
