Hiding who we are is NOT a Jewish thing. Or at least it shouldn't be...
And I don't think being a good performer has anything to do with your religion or sexual orientation - It's a talent, a G-d given talent, nothing more and nothing less.

Ok, you applied to 5 schools and got accepted to one but you don't want to go there.
How bout this: Maybe you got accepted there because you're really meant to go there? You never know, it might actually end up being the best thing to ever happen to you, but how would you know if you just drop it?

The only advice I can give you for figuring out what to do with your life is this:
Just really do a lot of thinking, really deep thinking, and you'll get to the answer. Doesn't sound very helpful, but believe me, it is!

You missed the point altogether. For the past few thousand years Jews couldn't be openly Jewish else fear prosecution. Same with homosexuals. But it really isn't worth an argument b/c it is just a silly thought.

And as far as schools I have only gotten into one yet, still waiting to hear from the others, so anything can happen at this point.
