Okay, so you'd think that with a digitally animated movie, continuity wouldn't be a problem save for the script, right? Well, that would be wrong.
First thing I noticed were the eyes. Everyone had these amazing eyes. The Warden, specifically, had blue eyes (like almost everyone else in the movie.) Now, one of the tell-tale signs that someone is wearing that watch gizmo is that their eyes are a different color.
When in the last prison scene, the Warden has brown eyes all of a sudden. And it turns out he's Minion. Okay, perfect! That works. But later, when Minion is subbing for Megamind, he has green eyes.
GREEN EYES! Okay, so if Megamind is the one on the bike, when did they switch? But just before he turns the watch off, he still has green eyes. But just an hour or so before, when Minion was the Warden, he had brown eyes, while the real Warden has blue.
Well, maybe they fixed his watch between then and now? If they could fix Minion's gizmo, why didn't they fix Megamind's watch, as he still has his green eyes though Metro Man had blue.
Second one I noticed was Minion's arm. They are fighting over the keys, and Megamind turns Minion's arm off. Right? It falls to the ground, and is dragging behind him. But when Megamind admits he doesn't need Minion anymore, TWO hands appear at Minion's chin. Then it's back on the ground. He also goes off on his Segway, and it's dragging behind him. But it doesn't get caught in the door, even though he's not far enough away from it by the time it closes to have not closed on his arm.
Just two tiny little things, but they bothered me. Mostly because then it messed with the ending of the story. Or, well, the first one did. I mean, that was the whole point! You knew one thing because of what they showed you, only to switch the rule in one instance, but not another?
