This is a really cool illusion I found.  When I was searching twitter for Hayden mentions, I saw a tweet from Barb about Davy's twitter, which led me to Steven Gould's twitter...which led me to...lordy..all over the science world... but this is cool

My brain is totally messed up from my art education *lol*

Because my first thought was, that the blue and the green are the same colour in different temperatures and then I looked closer and found out what causes this - the green spiral has stripes in the warm colour orange, the blue one gets magenta, which is a colder colour.

You're brain may be messed up, but you're dead on about why the colors look different! LOL (was about to ask if you were left handed b/c then you'd be in your right mind hehe...old joke)

Did you read the explanation on the site? LOL

Wow that is cool!

You seriously crack me up that you are still searching out Hayden. I guess he is a lifer for you... not so much for me. Meyree and I were talking about him the other day and I just don't see what I saw at all. *sigh* He's lucky to have you for a fan! *hugs*

LOL I was searching for possible tweets from the Uxbridge area...they're up there.

Can't explain it, but yeah...he still does something for me. I might not get butterflies like I did; and he's taken now, but I'll always have a thing for him. I can certainly appreciate other guys though...like the little devil in your icon ;) *hugs*

Okay, that is so interesting. It's amazing what tricks our brains can play on us. That's a new mind-game on me. I've never seen that one before!

I hadn't seen an illusion with color like that, either. It's fascinating to me the way our brains take information from auditory, sensory and visual cues and fill in blanks (sometimes erroneously)

Stephy's currently taking a graduate-level neuroanatomy class and she loves it. I mentioned I wanted to send this to her today. We were discussing visual triggers for seizures, and that her professor (who is an MD/PhD in neurology)said they still don't know why strobing lights trigger them.

That is so cool.

As for Hayden, I don't feel the same way about him anymore. I don't know what exactly changed for me. I'm still a fan though. :)
