Obligatory Harry Potter update

Everybody else is posting about this on their journals, and I don't want my readers to miss out on a single Potter update. So, here's my obligatory Harry Potter update:

The seventh book has been out for 48 hours so far, and I haven't even cracked the cover. Not one page.

You can count on me to keep you updated as events unfold.

Oh my... I thought I was the only one who felt as though this whole thing were a competition or a test of one's l33t ability to read. 0_0;;

For the record, as of the time of this comment, I haven't even finished the sixth book, let alone started on the seventh. The sad thing about it is, by the time I do get far enough in Deathly Hallows to be able to discuss my impressions of it, everyone else will likely have lost interest. =(

See you, and raise: the seventh book has been IN MY HOUSE since Saturday morning, and I have not opened it, either.

Of course, chaliren may be partly responsible for this. I am not allowed to read it until I finish my current programming project... AND she's finished reading it.

UPDATE: I have now cracked the cover, and observed the tome long enough to have seen the title and copyright pages.
