House House House

Okay...so I put my posting of my ATL pictures on hold and skipped forward to the present. There are some house pictures down below. But first the house adventures.

Curtis and I have been having fun packing and unpacking our cars with things that probably shouldnt go in our little cars. These things include a patio table which we got into my car and then we couldnt get out - we had to open the box in my car and carefully pull out the table, a papasan chair that curtis put in his honda, and four patio chairs - three in my car, one in curtis'. we also had our first battle scar when curtis flipped over the ladder and ripped his shirt.

we've basically been painting, cleaning, buying new things, and moving our stuff slowly to the new house. we've been going there almost every evening, i can't wait until we don't have to drive all the way back to our apartment to go to sleep. we were originally just going to paint the living room (it's a weird salmony orangey color) but after when we were doing the final walkthrough we realized we needed to paint the two other bedrooms as well. they were both cream and the walls were pretty scuffed up. so the guest room is going to be bluish lavender (fairy dust), the den is going to be light blue, and the living room is going to be beigeish.

Here's the outside of the house

the bar and one shot of the kitchen

The living room

Here I'm putting painter's tape on the ceiling. I had to climb up on the area over the fireplace and the spot for the TV

I made it down safely and then I realized that I left the scissors up there

The guest bathroom (I love it!). We're going with a beach/ocean theme. The fish and the crabs over the toilet are my favorite part, we bought them in Tybee last weekend.

The den (it will be more interesting once it has more furniture in it). Curtis is painting the closet.

The guest room and me painting in a very awkward position

This is what happens when you paint without shoes on

The master bedroom - we aren't changing the wall color in this room. The Papasan chair is what Curtis got me for our anniversary. :-D

Master bathroom - it's green and staying that way and we are going to do palm trees (which is what the previous homeowner had in there). We'll be putting a double sink in there later.

Here's our patio in the day and at night. In the night picture you can see the awesome votive candle holders i got on clearance at bed, bath, & beyond.

This is what I got Curtis for our anniversary. They are pages out of a textbook from the 1800s.
