for my thoughts on what i'm going to do.

also, i'm going to beat F with a stick when I get hold of him. When being the operative word, as I haven't spoken to him for four days, and his phone is off. Gah.

You seem to have some good solid ideas of what to do next, which is awesome. I admit to having issues with women's studies though... you can study feminism just as well in an english lit degree. I have read feminist theory through film studies, english and postcolonial studies, so there's definitely more than one way in.

Sociology and international relations sound interesting; english lit *can be* very good but it really depends on where you go. I studied english, film + tv, cultural studies and some other interdisciplinary stuff so feel free to pick my brains on courses whenever.

And dude, I'll beat F with a stick for you. WTF? Does he know about your results yet?

no, he doesn't. I rang his mother (I have her number for emergencies) and asked her to tell him to call me 'cos it's urgent. I'm just pissed off, now.

I'm thinking international relations and then doing what I swore blind I wouldn't - becoming a civil servant (but for DfID), but I really don't want to restrict myself to just one subject. I think I now count as a mature student for some places, but I still have my IB results, so I can technically claim to have studied english to a-level. I want the english in case I do want to teach.

I'm still on the fence, but I needed some ideas just to make myself feel better, if that makes sense.

There aren't as many courses that seem to let you pick and choose from lots of disciplines, and because I want to stay in london... I'm thinking London Met., or Westminster. Most of the other places seem to do international rel./sociology with a modern language, and my second language skills are *atrocious*.
