For every girl I know their abortion was covered by their boyfriend.

Most of my friends forked over their own cash for at least half the cost. It'd be fantastic if health care covered abortions, but no one I know who's had an abortion has had any health insurance at all at the time, or minimal coverage at a campus student health center. I DO know women who were undecided about whether or not to HAVE the baby, and the fact that they didn't have health care tipped the balance and made it really impossible for them to decide on anything but an abortion. Wish we'd have THAT health care debate.

And when I've been responsible I've insisted on paying for the entire thing. The girl already has to go through the emotional and physical shit of it, the least the dude can do is make sure it doesn't make her broke.
