Lately I've been feeling distant, not like usual but moreso. This tends to worry me a little because as close as I've been to the edge, it seems there may not be much more I can balance with. You know when your friends say they can "understand what you're going through" or (i love this one) "cheer up soldier!"

I just got laid off from my job, the day after my birthday. Should have I found in ironic in a way?
I did anyways, because I tend to get suspicious of things when my gut makes me feel different.
It hasn't been wrong once in my life.
