My fingertips are SORE! Tony and I bought guitars yesterday and needless to say, I messed with it most of the afternoon. I can play several open chords and can even do an easy picking rythem in a D chord ( Read more... )

Just do NOT let him learn the easy notes to "Smoke on the water"!!!!
This is usally everyone's first song and that's ALL you will hear!!!

Ugh...LOL. That's almost as bad as hearing 4 kids learning the recorder and practising "Lean On Me" over and over and over...etc.

The kids now want to get guitars and they've already pounded my piano even more out of tune for quite sometime now...so they've got the music bug as well.

I'm having visions of scratchy violin lessons and stuff like that...ack!

i hope you don't mind me barging in on this thread... :)

i saw your request for JT stuff on the slb comm... this is one i've been working on for awhile, in hopes that i could make a set of five. alas, i'm having problems with a couple of the others...

and i hate for this to sit on my HD, not being used... so, a gift ( until i can cap some JT stuff for you. :) ).

i put your initials on it - unobtrusively, i hope - because i'd like it to be yours. well, yours if you like it, of course. :D if you don't, that's cool, it's a very stylized icon... it might not be for everyone. it won't hurt my feelings if you decide not to use, but i think it's kinda groovy. :)

Thank you so much Deb! I've been seeing your great icons that you made for Jamie and they are fantastic. I love John in the Notorious era as well as the SBS era and even earlier, as in Rio.

I need to find some bases with Dragonflies, horses, butterflies and faeries as well. If you know where I can start looking, just point me in the right direction, so you don't have to spend all of your time making icons. I saved the one you made of JT and eagerly await future ones.

as to bases, there are communities on LJ dedicated to sharing base images. a couple in particular:

and omg_iconz_ has really, really nice bases that she shares.
