The year that my normally laid back life was turned upside-down. The year I changed my mind about who I am/who I want to be more times than in any other year of my life. A year whose range of emotions was far greater than in any other year in my life ( Read more... )

I intend to use them in the same way I use all my other icons, I guess. Thanks for the compliment, I'm glad this post turned out alright and very glad you enjoyed it.

Hooray. Polls!

Also, your year in review was totally shorter than mine. Approval.

I went through the same love/hate/love relationship with movies, this year. I started off the year watching movie movie movie and then got burned out and stopped, almost completely. Now it's somewhere in between.

wouldn't have even done this if not for you, maybe msnvwls December 30 2005, 19:06:48 UTC
I'm glad I didn't decide to go through with your idea of making this post longer than all my other posts this year combined, because Jesus Christ did I write some long posts this year.

I'm back to loving movies again, but I think maybe I love them too much, because I get kinda teary when I get to one of those moments in a film that'd make my top 100, and I feel like such a bitch crying to The Producers.

How's that 100 list coming, anyway? bad_juice December 30 2005, 19:09:45 UTC
Hah. Once I cried at the end of Tombstone.

Which moment gets you weepy in that Mel Brooks film?

there's no way i'll ever be able to rank them so if i do it it'll just be a list msnvwls December 30 2005, 19:16:39 UTC
"I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT, I'M LEO BLOOM!"

Because, I don't know, there's something so sincere about a scene that's honestly pulling for the heartstrings amongst, well everything else in that movie. Fucking old ladies, nazism, fraud and whatnot.

By the way, have you seen the remake?

Charlie looked at me like I was insane because I was laughing my ass off while filling out the poll.
Now I am being informed that I have to go take a shower, otherwise Charlie's going to beat me. Yaaaay beatings.

When I get me a new woman, I'm gonna make sure she knows who wears the pants in the relationship.

In other news, this is the first time we've said anything to each other before 2 AM in weeks, I think.

She went to take a shower, so I can't beat her. Damn it. I had this whole elaborate beating planned and she didn't want to go through with it. Oh well, maybe I'll find another reason to beat her later. I'm sure I will. I am pretty good at doing that.

Sir, you're a genius. Not only did you get your submission in at the deadline so it's fresh on my mind, but this comment is so fantastic that there's no way it couldn't be Comment of the Year.

Don't let these newfangled conceptions of "good" and "right" get in your way, either.

Your journal should focus on images of people's lives unrelated to you, be it by miles, years, or both.

That's actually a really great idea, dude. Is that the idea behind yours? All this time we've been LJ-friends and I'm still mystified by your journal.

That's what it turned into. If you look back a couple months, there's really no pattern, but now I just post pictures of cultures I find interesting.

haha, yeah, I just looked back at few old entries and saw that.

Hope you don't mind me saying it, but your girlfriend (?) has a pretty neat journal, too.
