And law school still officially sucks. lol I've met with a few teachers, and found that grading is truly arbitrary. Sour grapes? Not so much...it's just truly an arbitrary game we're playing with our law school teachers. Maybe I should have made sure to have worn low cut shirts and short skirts everyday. That game always worked so well for me ( Read more... )

You are going to be a kick ass lawyer.

Keep us posted on the movie thing...I'll definitely go see it then. I want to see Glory Road anyway-I love a good basketball movie-it reminds of my favorite teacher from high school

*smiles* Thanks for the vote of confidence...it's something very much needed these days.

As for the movie, I will definitely let you know. I'm going see it tonight at 9:50, so possibly tomorrow look for another post!

Shouldn't you be paying attention in class instead of posting comments on LJ, oh, wait...

YAY for possible movie appearances and beehives! And don't let the grading get you down. At the very least, you did better than I did, and we're going to work harder and kick the asses of these exams this semester! (That was me attempting to be positive, did it work?) :)

When I posted that coment, he was still just talking about participation points....so I didn't have to be paying attention at that point :P

I'm trying to think positively about doing better this semester, but it's not working so well. I mean, why think I'll do any better this semester, when I've already disappointed myself and proved that I'm not so good at this law school thing. Sometimes I wonder if I'd have been better off just flunking out. What makes me really depressed is to look around this classroom and know that most of the people did better than I did...and that most of them are the type of people that I would usually refer to as dumbasses....what the hell am I doing here? *sigh*

See, now that's the thing...I understand you talking to professors to figure out what you need to change for the other exams, and that's a good thing, but you have to not dwell on it because it's going to make it harder for you to do well this semester because you're too busy being depressed about last semester. It sucks, trust me, I know, but we'll get through it all somehow and we'll get jobs and we'll have lots of money to go on trips to France and drink in really really expensive hotels. :)

And, on another random note, does Murchison remind you of George W.?

The power of positive thinking. It will do wonders for your self-esteem.

Now, if only I could take my own advice and believe in myself, since apparently nobody else thinks I'm capable of not taking the safe route.

But hey, easier said than done.
