On the other hand, it's kind of depressing that Dirk is so unhappy that not even batshit candy happiness magic can alter his mood.

He's down in the dumps and surrounded by people who are high/drunk/magically insane, and now he just gets to look like a moron while he remains miserable.

Yeah, can see Dirk still being miserable is unsettling and I do wish he'll relax. Guess the thing is I got annoyed at the Tricksters being "THIS SUGAR RUSH WILL SOLVE ALL OUR PROBLEMS" and I can't see him falling for that.

I think it's going toward some resolution. The other kids trickstering didn't actually help any of their problems, so maybe one kid visibly not helped by trickstering will serve to propel things into actually solving a problem.

And at least he managed to dump Jake. If this ends with everyone over their Jake crushes that'd be pretty good.

Oh. So the trickster thing DID happen? I thought it was just a retcon, but then it just stopped somehow? I don't even know.

Also, the way everyone's talking about the God Tier thing as a certainty makes me suspect that it's not going to happen and they're all going to die regularly or some shit like that. Unspoken Plan Guarantee and all.

Hussie compared trickster mode to a powerup, and also to drugs, so I think that it's just something that kind of...wears off over time.

That would make sense. The way Hussie put it, though, it looked like he decided the whole thing was stupid and then decided to rewind back to before Jane licked the juju and start over from there.

Hussie seems to be on a mission to fuck up all sense of how "Acts" work. I mean, we're currently on Act 6 Act 5 Act 1x2, that's an act number that shouldn't even be fucking capable of making sense.
