I'm increasingly worried by how clear it is that the things the kids think they're supposed to be doing are also part of the bad guys' agenda. And the narrative suddenly pointing a bunch of big flashing neon signs at Roxy makes me think my worries might actually be validated by the text this time, since she's the only character who seems to agree with me that going along with evil people just because it's the only obvious path forward at the moment is generally not a good idea.
I have no idea. The whole paradox/time loop/predestined nature of everything makes it impossible to tell - are the good guys getting duped by the bad guys, or the bad guys duping themselves, or the overall narrative plan finds both side's goals irrelevant? Rose had a lot of screw-fate going on herself and that never went anywhere. But maybe it's on Roxy to fulfill that arc? Void seems like the element that's most free from machinations.
Caliborn has hypnotised/possessed/exerted a demonic influence over Jack, through Lil Cal. Remember he was talking earlier about how Cal's dead glassy eyes were like a window to his dark and twisted soul?
