So we see a cherub obliterating a planet full of trolls. Could just be for flavor/a result of Aranea being the one telling the story (plus, you know, a way to shoehorn in the winning fantrolls and kill them off immediately), could be a colony planet, or it could maybe be the "final blow" against Beforus the way the Bec-wave was for Earth and the Vast Glub for Alternia.
If it's one of the last two, and if the signs pointing to Calliope and Caliborn coming from the universe the kids create are to be believed, that would confirm the old mobius-double-reach-around theory that the kids create the troll universe.
I think it's there to explain why the trolls think angels are evil. They lived in an evil cherub's territory and came to know it as a destroyer and we presumably lived in a good cherub's territory and knew it as a protector. (Might also mean Hope is associated with strong extremes rather than just one side.)
Which does not rule out the kids-creating-trolls thing.
