Excellent icon, btw!

MV = ?

Yeah it's a little nuts. Skies are clear still so that's a good sign - I am worried about people further north!

Oh, hell. Might as well. XD Mission Viejo. I'm trying to ignore it and hope it goes away, but that's not exactly possible when your grandmother in Rhode Island is calling every five minutes to check up on you. XD

Icon loves you.

Oh man, stay safe! I don't know how bad they are in Malibu, but down in San Diego the entire north county is on fire.

I'm a little nervous -- from where I'm at, the candle is burning at both ends, so to speak. Luck to you over in La Jello.

Thinking good thoughts for all you guys. It's scary just to read about and see; I can't imagine what it must be like to be there.

Sadly, these fires are actually very common. There are fires every year, and big fires like this every two or three years. People from Southern California have learned to be afraid of those hot, still days that usually herald Santa Ana winds--those winds are the firebringers.

Strap in for the ride; things'll turn out. They always do.

Yeah, we get the telltale golden sky at school every three years ago - 8th grade, 9th or 10th grade, now 12th grade. This one has a lot more house damage and human casualties than the other ones, though, as far as I know :(.
