your walmart story was appalling--yet, not surprising in the least to me. we decided to try and weed out walmart long ago, but are occasionally guilty of going there for some small thing or another. it makes us feel disgusting. there's actually not much "mom and pop" around here in CT, either. but alas, there is a target! we have tried to replace walmart with her.

similar to sarah the L's suggestion, i might have to march into walmart now and do something inappropriate near/on/around the brokeback display. i will not bring j, because she is usually mortified when i act out in public.

Did I mention that because I bought the movie at Target it came with a free DVD recording of the Annie Proulx's short story, read by actor Campbell Scott? Just lovely.

Oops, I meant audio CD, but I'm sure you guys figured that out...you're all a bunch of smarties. And, I listed to it on the drive to work this morning - didn't get through the whole thing (obviously) but just great so far!
