Last night J and I went to see Melissa Etheridge.  It was my second time to see the rocker and J's first.  The tickets were an amazing and awesome birthday present from J herself!  Thank you Melissa for adding an extra show, thank you optimum rewards for providing a pre-sale code, and thank you J for punching in all the important numbers to make it ( Read more... )

Love, love, LOVE the write-up!

Glad Mel was as good as ever :)

Were the three men who broke into the fight straights or gays?

Shane, think of where I was and think of what you're asking. They were gay. We even joked that the guard, who we reffered to as tatoo guy was going to go home and tell his friend, "I roughed up a gay guy at the melissa etheridge concert tonight."

I love the write up and I am jealous of your great experience...what a difference seating makes. I spent my Mel E concert battling my inner voice which was telling me to "Stand up and dance", with the other voice that said "There all going to throw things and yell at you if you do"...the peer crowd pressure to remain seated was unreal. I wanted to scream at all the lazy non dancers around me "This is not an fffnn Opera people". Note: our seats were midway in the theatre; there are no excuses for the fact that no one within sight was dancing. And when i did stand to actually have the full experience and so I could see over big headed monster man, people as predicted people began to holler at me to sit down. ABNS spent her time contemplating how to fight 20 people, to protect my honor! Mel was amazing, yet it completely sucked. Go figure.

lol--the concert sounds like my mom's worst nightmare. i was once playing an i.girls cd when my mom's friends came over for tea or something...which led to a conversation i later heard about regarding the rampant making-out and public sex that goes on at ALL indigo girls concerts, even with multiple women at the same time...for shame!!

loved the CL description.
