In an email I received from the Dorothy Parker Society I read the following.  I thought I'd share it for all in her honor!

She passed away on June 7, 1967, at her apartment on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We are having an event to mark the anniversary in New York on June 4 (details below), but if you cannot join us, here are some suggestions:
