As we approach a busy time of year and with spring upon us, I began to consider my contributions to this journal project throughout the year and I find that I have come up short many times. This is a lovely idea, Professeur Lupin.

This quote raises an interesting question. It is healthy to keep in mind that everything is relative. But how can one truly commit to their work if they are not convinced of its importance?

Maybe the point is to not commit oneself to work. But to keep an open mind about everything?

Keeping an open mind is a very good thing. But what about the backlash of regarding things with detachment?

Maybe Russell was disillusioned with his work? If one likes their work why would they have nervous breakdown over it?

Clearly, one of the symptoms of approaching inanity is the belief Bertrand Russell has any idea of what work is 'important' and what is not.
