OK, where to start. My week has had it's ups and downs which hasn't been great. I'll start from Last Saturday which was a good day.
Saturday we went sledging in the snow that was left on Maiden Castle. Mucho fun was had especially riding the sail board down the hill and trying to find the steepest most dangerous slope to skim down on the bum boards ( Read more... )

Way down on the south side of the country, where it's so mild that I never imagined it would snow. It even settled. There wasn't a lot of snow at work but maybe an inch. Up in Dorchester (it's only 5 miles but it really does has it's own weather system) there was more snow. Up there it snowed for 2 nights now and has settled quite well. Not really ( Read more... )

Next week we have a fancy dress party in Dorchester. The theme is Pop Stars. Now this obviously isn't my usual kind of paper mache costume so I'm throwing it open to clever suggestions and interpretations from you guys :D

Martech got bought by Coda Octopus, it's been a slow but innevitable change and we are now officially Coda Octopus Martech Ltd. This is fine by me the company seems to be doing well, we're still growing despite recession and are busy with lots of work. The reason I write is to point and laugh at the hilarious business card situation.

Ok some bright spark has figured out this very cool thing. If you blow a soap bubble on a very cold day it will freeze before it hits the ground.

I've had a lovely week off, I missed not spending it all with Kim because she had to work the whole week. Sucks to be a doctor at times.

We've had a very nice christmas so far. Done the usual visitation things, my parents on christmas day and Kims parents for boxing day and the day after. The usual problems of relatives apply, best not to go into them all here as many of you will know my LJ is now compromised and may possibly be read by my family at any time. I had a request on one of my previous posts asking for a template for the spinny thing I made for Hazel. I have created the 3D model now and wrapped up the paper design into a PDF.
