Life in the Snow

We've had 70 inches of the stuff since the beginning of January.

70 inches.

I hate snow.

I want to go home.

Well, I can relate, having lived up thataway myself. My advice to you is to find a way to enjoy it. Build a snow fort for you daughter to crawl around in. Go sledding. Learn to ski. Above all, make sure you are dress appropriately for the weather. That helps tremendously.

I will tell you that you do have something to look forward to: this spring, when the snow melts and the ground thaws - the smell of the sun warmed earth is worth it. It's like no other smell in the world, and we just don't get it down here in the south.
