Kaiser won't cover Strattera. Now I've got a perscription of Ritalin instead, a drug that I'm definitely not pleased about taking. So angry I could scream.

Have you requested an exception to the formulary? Generally, you'll be told to speak to member services I believe, but if you want to request an exception you start with your doctor, not Kaiser. You can submit a statement from your physician. If you log into KP.org, and pull up the formulary, there's a blip in the intro about doing this.

Howdy, stranger... I suspect I know vaugely who this is.
But thanks for the info. I should at least be fair and try the Ritalin to see if it works. I could simply be prejudiced aginst it. My objections to Ritalin at this point are a lot more "ethical" than concrete - I don't want to be taking something addictive. After I run through this perscription, or if I get a really nasty reaction, I'll persue this.
