Ritalin: Day 1
So I'm trying this drug, since my health insurance won't pay for Strattera. (Although, as a visitor pointed out, I can appeal that.) How's it going?
Hard to say - I'm coming off of one drug and starting another, which can be odd. Strattera felt weird on Day 1, but by Day 2 it was fine. We'll see how it goes. Patience.
Right now? I'm wired. Ritalin is definitely a stimulant. I'm focusing on things more, but it's kind of in an OCD way - things grab my attention, and if I pass them by I don't forget them readily. It's almost as if the Ritalin is speeding up other parts of my brain, rather than slowing things down. I'm going from a game of golf to a game of basketball. It's not particularly comfortable. Let's give this a fair shake and see what happens; right now it's not dangerous or even upsetting, but it's decidedly uncomfortable.
