Lovely fic (and hilarious icon). I have to admit that Lupin/Tonks in the books always felt forced to me, like Lupin failed to demonstrate even the tiniest bit of interest in her, but this range true for me. I can see a quiet, battered-by-life, emotional-issues-having guy like Lupin falling in love like this, against his own wishes almost, and trying to deal with the situation by avoiding it and couching it in these terms. It's also... helpful, somehow, to see them both accepting the likelihood of imminent death, in light of Book 7.

I have to admit a good part of my shipping this couple came from fan fiction - unfortunately, it seems their storyline didn't fit in the books. But at least one can always dream, eh? ;) Thank you very much!

I can actually picture all of this in my mind and it makes perfect sense...I laughed at the last line in December, and was glad that she told him off "live up to your house, for Merlin's sake". Great story.

Oh this fic was beautifully written.

Even though nearly no names were mentioned, one could easily distinguish, which character was writing, since you wrote them so lovely and in character.

Loved, how much more emotional Tonks letters to Remus were and how she keeps being hopeful and determined about their relationship.

Enjoyed reading it and the idea with the letter is great!
