Cold and definitely rainy October Autumn in Scotland today!
I really love that little crab-apple tree. Its blossoms are lovely pink in the Spring, and it goes all orangy-yellow with clusters of red crab-apples in October. The only better tree to have would either be a red maple (but they have a miniature one next door) or a buckeye tree. :)
Kids are on break, which lets me sleep in a little bit later if I wish. Yesterday was a bit of a mess since I stayed up late to watch the presidential debate. Definitely will have to get more focused back on programming from tomorrow onwards.
We started holding evening study reviews in a few subjects we think Benjamin needs to put more effort into. He's certainly smart enough, but if it's not in video or playing card format, he's not always as interested as he should be. Seeing for ourselves where he is in terms of his education is the best way to help relieve our worries about those ever-looming National 5s. Mondays look to be Physics nights with
mtbc, while tonight it's English with me. Chemistry, Maths, and French are later in the week. :)
