Glad I don't have any kids

DISD is using science text books that are 12 years old, and they can't afford new ones because Texans would rather have stupid kids than raise taxes. Now, I'm no scientist but I'm pretty sure there have been some changes in the last 12 years.

"Hey, let's cut the school budgets so none of them kids get any of them ideas in their heads!"

"Hell yeah! And just in case any of them free-thinkers get through, we'll let everyone carry guns on them college campuses!"

Yeah, but the changes in the last dozen years would mostly be about further confirmation of evolution, oh and global warming....
so yeah, not a priority to tell the kids about that kinda stuff.

Next thing you know you'll be wanting new high school psychology books that doesn't list homosexuality as a mental illness!

There haven't been any changes to science curriculum in nearly 2000 years of any significance to the Republican Party. That's when the Bible was "finished".
