I have such a hard time even seeing references to Katrina in news stories. I tear up and have to look away so I don't start bawling. I can only imagine what it is like for someone who is more personally connected.

thank you

If you researched Waveland, MS and Bay St. Louis, MS you will see WHY I haven't let it go. I grew up in Bay St. Louis....very small cities, Waveland and Bay St. Louis shared schools so it was like my home townS.

My sister owns the building that was in the movie "This Property is Condemned" that starred Natalie Wood and Robert Redford. The building that was the bar in the movie is my sister's store and maybe home (if they ever get the historic people over there to tell her WHAT she can do) Our little piece of history.

There have been articles about them. She goes by PhoenixRayne so if you searched her and the city you might come up with the interview between she and her hubby (Michael) and the news guy.

ok so I am rambling right now...sorry.

one of the big problems is the insurance companies. they are not paying the claims that they should. The government is still going through the process and making changes. They just said they would help people who had rental property. Originally it was only for homes you lived in. but so many were rent properties. So if you had between 1-4 homes you rented out they will now help get the rental property rebuilt so more people have better places to live and more will move back home.

Where my family lives is rebuilding, it is just taking time.
