Missing Ymir yesterday was hard but definitely the right decision.   I'm still not sure what bug I had, viral bronchitis or the flu.  I'm hoping that Miss M hasn't gotten sick, but it's obvious that something's not right.
She has diarrhea, and I can't imagine having to deal with that at an event.  I was glad I had Jeff go play.  He came back very ( Read more... )

I buy them from a store in NYC. I need to order more myself, so I think we should put together an order! They actually aren't all that expensive for the quality.

Missed having you there yesterday, but I can completely understand!
And Helwynn covered admirably.

But you did miss the Dove dark chocolate I'd bought for you :)

i'm sure you were much missed (not sure i can say /i/ missed you, more than i missed everybody... you would have seen me once, upon check in, and not much else!) but very very glad to hear you're feeling better!

also very interesting to hear you talk about your a&s goals, etc. there's a certain perception sometimes that the laurels are done progressing and basically it makes me feel better to know that you, too, still have goals and stuff you want to do. [and if you want any help organizing - after this month is out! - please let me know, i really owe you one.]

oh. and, we do pretty well on meal planning/shopping ahead for the week. i am often super picky/moody about food but i find that having it planned out and knowing what's on the menu for a given night just takes away any feeling like 'it's not what i want' because there i know there is no choice. and it definitely helps save time at the grocery store, and cuts down on the # of weekly trips.

I can't think of any Laurel whom I respect who thinks that he/she is "there" and has no more to learn. It's sometimes a struggle for me to keep as open a mind as I would like as far as thingss that I think I "know".

There are times I almost think
I am not sure of what I absolutely know.
Very often find confusion
In conclusion I concluded long ago
In my head are many facts
That, as a student, I have studied to procure,
In my head are many facts..
Of which I wish I was more certain I was sure!

Thank you again so much for the offer of letting Talento ride with Geoffrey. He woke up at 3am and thought he was getting sick (sore throat, that sort of thing) and decided he didn't want to chance it. We know so many people that have been sick lately, including his son. Thanks again!!

Hope you feel better soon!

I hope you and little M are feeling better. You were missed.

The MoL seemed to go pretty well and having Lisette there definitely helped.

It seemed Geoffrey had a good time. I know he was excited about playing with the longsword. I was also very thankful for the pavilion and the heater that was ready for us, but I am glad we didn't need it.

I think every event should be that temperature. It was perfect. You can wear wool garb without needing to load up on the cloaks but not getting overheated as well. :)
