Well, two Sundays ago, I was writing some music and my MacBook Pro was just choking with all the plug-ins I had loaded. John, who was sitting on the floor as I was demo-ing the song, could see my frustration. I loaded up the Apple website to look at the beast called Mac Pro to see what the .edu price would be. Congrats! I wish I had one of those here at work. This old iMac is not cutting it anymore and really hates Java and Flash (last of the PowerPC models and over 3 years old now).

The machine you just bought will last you a long time with that horsepower.

I've been using a MacPro for a while now at work. It's a bit older but has served me well.
Bertha...hehehe....I should give mine a name. It's a veritable boat anchor.

Very nice! I know I'm loving my Macbook, but the draw of a Pro is still strong. Maybe next year, but until then I'll be envious!
