So, they're in the process of upgrading everyone's PCs here at work to XP. That would be a good thing, since it requires that the actual PCs be replaced with newer machines as well. The one I'm using now is so old that the hamster inside is starting to fossilize. You'd think I'd be excited to be upgraded. Well, in addition to this switching ( Read more... )

On the other hand, I'm sure there's a niche for a web-based IM gateway. I think I will go have a look...

Looks like there is a niche: Piglet IM is filling it until some others cotton on.

I just started here. And I don't want to leave. Dude, it's a GOVERNMENT job. I'm set for life. (That would also explain the Big Brother thing.)

I've always wanted to find a place that treats its employees like adults, but, short of starting my own business, I don't think one exists. But, when you work with morons like the guy who sits across from me (see earlier "W" posts), I can almost understand it. What I do not understand is why these few bad apples are allowed to continue working and spoil it for the rest of us...
