"The system has failed": A Paris Hilton Post.

Last summer, I attended a few court dates where people who had violated probation were brought in, and permitted to present an argument and character evidence in order to make a case for not having their suspended sentences un-suspended. This is an excellent post. Why is it locked? I want to tell people to read it!

I esp. agree about the message she SHOULD be hearing. I felt bad for her when I saw the picture of her freaking out in the cop car. It's like she's been living in a dark bubble and been wrenched out. I can feel bad for everyone who has it worse (99.9% of the world) AND her, right?

I'm torn on the PH thing.
On the one hand, I agree that she should go back to jail
On the other hand, I'm sick & bloody tired of hearing about it.

Can't she just go away now?

Very nice thoughtful post. Thank you for the information and perspective.

What Deb said: "she screwed up, she got busted, she tried to weasel (or someone did), and now she's stuck."

Yep. Them's the breaks. I have little sympathy for a 26-year-old who can't take her punishment.
