A year ago, I saw some mice which had their hind legs crippled by manually severing all the tissues, walking around like normal after simply being injected with some embryonic stem cells.
What amazes me is not just the "regrowth" but how fast they can make it happen. I figured they were growing a trachea for months... nope, they injected the stem cells, implanted it days later, and days after that it was "indistinguishable" from her natural trachea.

In dogs, they are using stem cell methods to treat/cure hip dysplasia by sort of "regrowing" hips sockets.
