All Your Genetics Are Belong to Me!

So after my frustrating day of black-pit eyes and icky skins on my little Sweet twins, I've learned how to fix things on my own.

I really like the eye blend that Aquilegia made with AlfredAskew's sclera in this set, and while those worked fine for my defaulted eyes, I didn't want my playables' looks to change that dramatically. So I've put all their eyes on the new sclera. Loooooooook:

The whole top row+ (all my little m's!) are the new eyes! Now I have to decide if I want to update the entire sets that all of these came from at some point. If anyone has any tips on the most efficient way to do this, PLEASE feel free to share, because I'm pretty sure my copy-paste-half-assed-layer-masking + fiddling around can't be the best way. Too bad I didn't record what I did for each one the first time around. :/

And then blending skins! Is not as hard as I thought it was going to be! I think it always just seemed overwhelming to read tutorials without actually having the files open in front of you, in the same way that reading about hex codes in SimPE sounds complicated when you haven't tried it. I'd already swapped out the twins' skins with some other freckly ones after the originals' flaws were made more obvious on their teen birthday, but I felt like some of the character had gone from their faces, which made me a little sad. So following this very short tutorial, I'm blending their old faces onto their new skins, and yay! It's working!

See? I'm doing it!!
