Thanks! I'm just... ignoring it for now. I liked the photo booth pictures, but since it's not a simple matter of doing a 50/50 test and seems to be related to something more complicated, I just don't have the will to try to figure it out at the moment. Sigh. At least I don't think it's a sign of a more serious issue?
I did some googling and found nothing but the posts you found :( Someone said taking the pics off the wall and placing on a surface and then back onto a wall changed something? It wasn't the same problem as yours but it can't hurt. And I also found this http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=224227&c=1 It won't help your problem but when you get it fixed, it might be fun to put in your game?!? *peers over rose-colored glasses*
Thanks for looking into it, Shasta! It's one of those things that doesn't *really* affect my gameplay (though I do miss the pictures), but every now and then I want my game to be PERFECT, and it bothers me that I can't figure out how to fix it. It's just going to take a really motivated session of file-moving someday... :/ I have the vaguest memory of fiddling around inside some lighting files at one point many months ago, trying to make Radiance Lighting less glare-y, so my suspicion is I may have screwed up something in the photo booth lighting, in a way that isn't as obvious as "undo Radiance"... bllllleeeeghhhh!
