This morning after the Phooki left for work, I wandered into the kitchen to get myself something to drink. Happy New Year Everyone!
I know that I haven't been posting much lately. I really haven't been much in the mood, but this year I resolve to try and post maybe once a week. Not that I have many friends who read these, but just for the sake of keeping in touch.

State Fair!
I went to State Fair park today for the cooking competition judging with my friend Maria and her family. Out of 5 contests she entered Maria won 4 ribbons including 1st place blue ribbon for a stuffing contest which included a $100 cash prize. Her husband John won 2nd place for his grilled cheese sandwich, made with homemade bread, a homemade ( Read more... ) -
OW, OW, OW, OW!
I had to go to the dentist yesterday for a broken tooth. They pulled out one tooth and informed me that I needed to get 4 more pulled. I don't like this very much. The Vicodin is helpful for the pain, but not helpful for the sleep. I cannot seem to sleep more than an hour or so at a time.

UH OH!!! I think we have lost the phooki
As I sit here and post I am sad to report that we have lost the Phooki ....for awhile at least. As I type she is now staring fixedly at the t.v. game controller in had playing the just released GhostBusters video game. She will also be in disguise next time you see her wearing her new "geek" shirt. I'll let you be surprised.

Insomnia Again!
Well, at least I got two hours of sleep before I woke up. It's a good thing that I did wake up, it seems a certain phooki forgot to turn off the coffee pot before leaving for work. Nothing happened, but if I had slept all nite the pot probably would have burned.

It's been a very long time since I've posted anything but a comment here and there. This is just kind of a catch up and a I'm still here! kind of post.
