GUH! Ok, so I signed up to use the UV-vis in the lab today, and you have to let the lamps warm up for half an hour before you use it. If you don't, you're results will drift while the lamp is warming up. So I turn the lamps on 40 minutes before I'm signed up to use it, giving myself some time, if I get my samples prepped sooner. I've never been interested in golf but this weekend I've watched a fair bit of the US Open. A lot of it is just because it's in Pittsburgh this year so everyone is talking about it.
