Over the years, I have found that the clichés about truth have lasted so long for a reason. Especially "The truth shall set you free," and my favorite, "To thine own self be true." You need to apply this to dating, especially if you're a girl (note I said girl

And yes, I think he is.

But the thing is, its all about the level or degree. And like I mentioned, if you guys are best friends, then definitely he values your friendship more, which is cool and respectable.

There are really good benefits to having opposite sex best friends, because for starters, they naturally have better insight on their gender when you have dating problems.

i'd disagree. i was completely smitten with a best friend before and nothing romantic came of it. i loved every second of our friendship, but there were many times where i would have traded it all for someting to come from it.

there are many books and opinions on the topic of dating and how to obtain women. unfortunately, honesty has very little to do with what works today. it's sad, and would make everything a lot easier if they were just honest, but that's not going to happen
