Ok, don't give me crap about ruining the biz because this is for an adult audience who isn't retarded and has control over their disbelief. Just want to know if this paper makes sense..

It makes sense. I especially like your appeals to the role model factor and physicality of the sport.

I think why NASCAR as a sport has gotten more press (presumably) is because it is easier to link it to politics and groups of voters-- "NASCAR dads" or whatever bullshit that was during the '04 elections. There are more issues involved (like Americans obsession with automobiles), but I think that is a big one.

yeah, plus have u seen the commercial where the dad is at a hotel with his kid, and they are like, "we're gunna be so close, we can see the sweat on *generic popular racer* face!" and then they walk out and *generic popular racer* is staying at the same hotel?

i agree that NASCAR is a waste of evreything, but there were a few faults to your writing. i realize that maybe you were just using generalizations, but if not...

Every wrestler is either a good guy or a bad guy. This strict dichotomy is rarely, if ever, broken.

What about people like Austin, The Rock (for a little while), Flair, and even DX when they first formed? They were often on the line.

The producers/writers always end a match with the good guy beating the bad guy.

The nWo, for quite a while, often won matches. Maybe you should include that in the cases where the badguy does win, it's almost always in an unlawful, "unamerican" way.

and then somehow he managed to connect with his famous leg drop and win.

What about the big boot?

I do like the comparison, however, be fair warned, Mick Foley did the exact same thing in his book Foley Is Good, so don't try and publish it.

no no, trust me on this.

you're either a babyface or a heel. doesn't mean you cant switch if you start getting over, though.

as far as the NWO goes... they were marketing to the rebellious teenage type. their renegade attitude is the exact same thing that got DX over. but in the end, didn't they blow off all the fueds with guys like sting going over? and once guys like sting joined, it wasn't a heel stable anymore.

and yes i will revise it to add your god's big boot haha.

when austin was gaining popularity he was a heel, but when he was at his peak he was kind of both, fighting both faces and heels

I was never a big NASCAR fan myself but ive gotten into it slightly in the past few years. It's definitely a sport. People can die, that makes it a sport in my book. (i have very low criteria for sport...) If anything isnt a sport it's golf ( ... )
