I would've gone with the Pilferers in pack 1, I think, but yeah, not by a huge margin. I've just found him to be so awesome every time I play him...
In pack 24 I think I'd have ultimately gone with the Axegrinder, just because you have 3 Stinkdrinker Daredevils already and you want to try and maximize your Thundercloud Shaman (esp. since you have a Giant Harbinger). I definitely don't fault you for taking the Kithkin, though; I just would've leaned towards the fatty because of the 3 Goblins.
I've had too many situations where I have Pilferers in hand with nothing in the yard, with no convenient trade on the board to make... maybe this has to do with play style. Maybe more importantly, I find it easy to end up with too many expensive creatures in this format, and if my deck turns out that way, I'd rather they be Aethersnipes than Pilferers, as Snipes are much better at helping recover from a weak early game.
I thought about the Axegrinder for pick 24, but I didn't have a lot of early drops at the time (just 1 Harrier and 1 Fire-Belly). With 2 Berserkers, I wanted to make sure I had enough. Also, Lairwatch Giants tend to come really late, so in R/W, there's still a good chance of picking up one of the 6-drop Giants later on.
