This was my first online draft in a couple weeks, so I'm a bit rusty. I first-picked Galepowder Mage over Huntmaster, then I was all over the place until seeing a clear Merfolk signal.
I probably should have taken the Aquitects second because according to the print run, there was a Huntmaster missing from the pack, and that would have likely put me in good colors. The Benthicore wasn't a great pick, but the clock was ticking. The final deck was okay, except I could get run over if I was a little slow. I decided to leave the Faerie Harbingers in the sideboard since I had no changelings worth getting, and they could only fetch each other. I probably should have played an 18th land in this deck, but I thought the Drum would help out a little there.
I played against a 1730 in round 1 running W/R/b with 2 Plover Knights, Sunrise Sovereign and a bunch of Giants. I got Drowner while he had Goldmeadow Harrier followed by Giants every game. I didn't find a Harpoon Sniper in game 1 until way too late, and never at all in game 3, while I drew all three of them along with the Summon in game 2, which I won easily. Drowner ended up a turn behind in the race in games 1 and 3, while I lagged a little on mana, making my Angler much less effective those two games. My deck could have really used a Judge of Currents, as it would've turned both of the losses into easy wins.
