I love that place! We went there on a whim when we were in Paris, just because it was close to Luxembourg Gardens, where we had been resting, and we were too tired to go anyplace further away. I'm so glad we did. It's an interesting place.

But those pictures captured it better than I was able to.

Thanks very much! I honored.

I'm practicing my French now for the trip. Haven't spoken it since I lived in Rennes for a year as a high-school junior. My wife is trying to learn, but it's hard because her language tapes and books are all English to French, and English isn't even her native language, so...

Which of the many French-language LJ communities you belong to are the best? I should join a few, I think.

I have a small warning if you join one of the French-language communities. Often the majority of the members seem to be students of French and not native or fluent francophones. This leads to people asking questions about French and sometimes people will reply with incorrect answers.

Oh, that's not what I'm looking for. I can read just about anything in French. I was a 17th century French lit major for a while, and I've periodically read enough to keep up my reading, but I'd really like to just read some chatty stuff in French so I can get more of a sense of everyday language. Also, if it's on my FL, I'm guaranteed to see it every day.

You are welcome!

I am pleased you enjoyed this photo essay!

I must be honest and say I do not know which of the communities are good, it has been very long since I looked at them . . . I apologise.

When jessmiller and I were in Paris last summer we went to the Panthéon but since there is an admission fee we decided not to enter (though we did get a nice view of a busy street looking west from the Panthéon. So thank you for posting these wonderful photos.

Thanks for the lovely photos, it looks like an amazing space.

How are you doing? Are your studies and the job going well? Is your father continuing to recover well and is he still not smoking?

Have a good weekend.

Hello to you!

I am glad you enjoyed this small photo essay.

My studies are weak, so I must read this weekend, but work goes well. My father's health improves, and he is NOT smoking. I am grateful for this every day. I am very glad I never truly started that habit.

I wish you a good weekend!
