Well, vacation's almost over. It's been a good one overall I'd have to say.
I got to spend a lot of time with my whole family, which was nice, since my brothers are gone for a good amount of the year these days. Let's see, vacation started quickly, I got a part in the musical (Billy Boy - it's a smallish part). We got a pool table for Christmas. It's awesome, I will hopefully be having a party shortly so that everyone will have a chance to try it out. I got a few other small things for Christmas, CDs and the like. Shortly after Christmas, 4/5 of the family traveled to Rochester, NY so we could visit my grandparents. My grandma (mom's side) is in the process of moving into a full-time nursing facility, so we wanted to spend some time with her. It's awful to see the way that elderly folks spend their days. I hope I never get old. Yet, despite having not much left, my grandma remains positive for the most part, which is inspiring. We returned from Rochester for New Years, which was spent celebrating my mom's birthday, which happens to be New Year's Eve. Yesterday, we went to a funeral for a dear family friend who died of cancer at the age of 55. It was very sad and emotional, especially since her husband has been spending a lot of time with us since she passed in mid-December. Today was a snow day. It's been nice to have an extra day of vacation, another day to sit around and be lazy. My brother Gabe left to go back to college today as well, which is too bad, since we are pretty close and I probably won't see him again until June. I also got a haircut today, and let me tell you, it was a disaster. I asked for the barber to just clean it up and make it a bit shorter. Well, he went to town, and now I have very short hair. I sort of look like I belong in the army. Don't be surprised to see me wearing a hat most of the time for the next few weeks.
CABARET is this FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and, SUNDAY!
Get tickets at lunch, and see me make a fool of myself in front of lots of people. Woohoo!
